Bikers, Burgers, and Brotherhood - Welcome Back, AngryInch

We have a little outing planning on Saturday. A special outing to celebrate the return of AngryInch.

Our good friend Inch was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident in February. We almost lost him. In case you are wondering what he was doing out on a motorcycle in the middle of winter, well it was the traditional Frosty Balls Run put on by Four Seasons Motorcycle Club. Inch was on his way home when a careless driver pulled out in front of him. Inch has hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical bills, but not to worry: the driver got a $50 ticket for "failure to yield". Another time, another rant.

You can read his story here.

After five painful months, Inch is back. He has a new ride. He is back amongst the living, so to speak. This calls for a celebration.

We're meeting at the Ches-Del at 10:00 A.M. Who knows how many will show? Oh Wolfman for sure, probably Preemo and Hacksaw. If Little Sister and Boo-Boo can get off work, they'll be there. Too many to mention. I'm hoping for about 30 bikes.

From Ches-Del, we'll be going through Delaware City and down historic Route 9. We'll hit Sambo's in Leipsic, head on back Route 9 to the Augustine Inn in Port Penn, then back to Inch's house in Five Points for a burger-bash grilled by Chef Chainsaw. We'll be meeting all the non-riders there....friends and family.

AngryInch is Polish, Mrs. Inch is Italian. There will be some good eatins' for sure ! I'll be making my potato salad tomorrow. I fear we may have 50 lbs. of potato salad.

The neighbors have been warned (and invited). There will be people from all sorts of backgrounds there.....old, young, little kids (watch the language !), big hairy bikers, middle-aged geeks, just to be happy.....just to enjoy this life that is given to us.

This is a man who faced Death and told him to STFU. He is with us now because of inner strength and the love of his family. You may see him run for office someday. He's that smart. He's that good. He cares that much.

As a follow up, I'll be posting pictures and maybe some videos of our fun. Who knows, you might spot some hot biker chick among the bunch.

Well said, Shirley! I am embarrassed by the smart issue, but you are right on several counts.

I did tell death to F OFF. I had God on my side thanks to many family and friends, and knowing that there was no way I was leaving this planet yet.

I do care. I could list a million things here, but it would take all week. I may not see things the same as others, but regardless of viewpoint- I do care.

Finally, yes, this IS a celebration. It isn't a holiday, nor a party. It is a day of life, of friendship, of love. A day to raise a beer and remind yourself of what you love.

I can guarantee not one person will leave my home without a hug.

Nor will they leave without eating potato salad.

:)

Gary, pics by Sunday, I promise. You'll be in out thoughts Saturday.

Operative words Angry Inch, "I had God on my side............"

You are obviously gifted and have been gifted further.

Every time you lift your leg to get on that new ride just tell death to
"kiss this" and ride in his freaking face.

Our prayers for your continued recovery and friends and family who stood by and for you.
